Beyond the Touchlines

My outcome in response to one of the 2024 ISTD briefs: ‘The Line’. As a response to this brief I chose to write and design a book which celebrates the game of football through the lens of one of it’s seemingly most mundane constants: the pitch markings.
The book dives into the history of these white lines, how they impact the game of football as well as their effect on people and the greater world around us. Throughout the book, the pitch lines gains a new meaning as cultural icon that leaves a mark in the hearts of football fans all across the world.
