With the task to design an outcome based on a topic of interest I chose to explore Rio de Janeiro's greatest cultural exports: Samba. Growing up in Rio de Janeiro, samba was all around me, and today it fills me with a sense of nostalgia for a life I once lived.
The Heartbeat of Rio is an exhibition kit which incentivises the sharing cultures and bringing learning experiences to the public. The project takes the form of a poster book with removable sections that can be put up on walls using wheatpaste to build an exhibition about the history of samba and it's culture. The poster book also includes an instruction manual on how to make wheatpaste and a set of stickers with a link to my samba playlist.
